I feel like all I do is sew but it is not a bad feeling.  I am loving the experience and am dragging along my relunctant inner creative self.  I still struggle with ideas but all I need to do is see something that someone else made and I am off and running.  I have so many new ideas in my head right now but I have to get my orders finished before I can start playing.

I am trying to build up a range of things that can sell throughout the year rather than just at Christmas because while Christmas is only 2 weeks away for me, as a crafter, it is 10 months away.

The ideas I have at the moment are:

My new felt arrived today so I can start filling my orders and then get on with the R&D stuff

Pretty Flowers

The “big” flower in each set is approximately 2.5″ wide and is used on a bag or hairband.  The smaller flowers are for clips (pictured)

Pretty flowers

The flowers are made from a mixture of synthetic, eco & wool blend felt.  The outer (biggest) flower is featured on the hairband & the bag embellishment.  The individual layers are secured with 2 strands of cotton embroidery thread.  All flowers are finished with an adhesive rhinestone gem.  The flowers are attached to the hairbands/slides with silicone glue & 2 strands of cotton embroidery thread.

The flowers are decorative only & are not suitable for children under 36 months.

This flower is made with layered red & purple felt cut with commercial dies.  The outer red flower measures 2.5″ wide.

This flower is made with layered cream & walnut felt cut with commercial dies.  The outer cream flower measures 2″ wide.  This flower DOES NOT feature an outer (walnut) layer for hairbands/bags.

This flower is made with layered red, cream & purple felt cut with commercial dies.  The outer red flower measures 2.5″ wide.

This flower is made with layered orange & purple felt cut with commercial dies.  The outer orange flower measures 2.5″ wide.

Cuteness for small hands

This bag is made from 2 layers of synthetic felt (in this case red & olive green) and measures 6″ x 5″ with a 2.5″ flap. It closes with a press fastener. This particular bag is decorated with 2 felt hearts and has a strap made from twisted cotton yarn.

All items can be bought/ordered in advance of the Magic Mum Christmas Fair (Nov 15th) or can be ordered online for postal delivery.

All items are hand made and so take a little while to make and may not be exactly the same as images on the screen.

Christmas Tree

Red Christmas tree (3″ x 2.5″) made with two layers of polyester felt finished with gold thread.  Trees are available in deep red, red, silver, gold, white & forest green.  Gold, silver & matching colour threads available.
